Anla Ayodele

Anla Ayodele is an art photographer based both in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. His work is inspired by the people and landscape of Yoruba Country of southwest Nigeria and his subjects are mainly the cultural practices of the Yoruba people. 

Galleria Klik presents the scenes captured by Ayodele at the annual Egungun (masquerade) festival of the city of Ibadan. Ibadan’s urban sprawl makes it one of the largest geographical areas in Africa, and one time second to Cairo.
